Walter Hilse will play his twenty-seventh annual program at Saint Peter’s Church, Lexington Avenue at 54th Street, New York City. Special features will be the world première of a new Hilse organ work – the Fantasy on “O quanta qualia” – and a transcription for organ of Vivaldi’s Violin Concerto, op. 9, no. 9, made by Kalle Toivio, acclaimed Finnish organist, composer and improviser. Other selections will include Bach’s Trio Sonata No. 6 in G Major, his Passacaglia in C Minor, and the chorale prelude “Schmücke dich,”as well as a Praeludium by Nicolaus Bruhns.

Walter Hilse will play an organ recital at Harbor Baptist Church, Block Island, Rhode Island. The program will include works by Buxtehude, Bach, Vivaldi, Hilse and Schuman.
